The work of Lucien Martini

In geometrical lines or sinuous constructions, I have attempted to make perceptible the undercurrents, the invisible flows, links, forces, that are active behind the reality as we usually see it.

A strong and impressive character, represented as a benevolent or ambiguous figure, receives and also sends out such flows, those currents of energy. Surrounded by feminine or masculine symbols, these powerful beings unify in themselves the various flows, thus recreating and re-organizing the world, and exerting a harmonizing influence. Ancient myths reappear in contemporary disguise.
